Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School are home to a variety of specialized training programs, including: Medical Student ProgramsBrigham and Women’s Hospital hosts approximately 600 medical students each year in various clinical courses, clerkships, and electives. These students rotate from the Harvard Medical School and the HMS Exchange Clerkship Program. Residency ProgramsPartners Healthcare Systems sponsors at least 20 ACGME residency programs at BWH. This includes approximately 788 medical residents, appointed through HMS. These programs are monitored by the PHS GME office, BWH GME office, and BWEC. Fellowship ProgramsPartners Healthcare System sponsors nearly 40 ACGME fellowship programs each year at BWH. There are approximately 244 clinical fellows who rotate through various departments at BWH. BWH also hosts many non-ACGME fellowships.
