This 20-minute session will describe and explain how to use Ovid’s Expand Term Finder tool. Users will discover the appropriate terminology in an interactive Medical Subject Heading or MeSH browser and find their synonyms to correctly search in Ovid’s Medline platform. After determining the correct vocabulary; i.e. subject headings, sub-headings, and synonyms, users will create search strategies, personal accounts, and save searches.

Zotero is a free bibliographic management tool, which provides users with a powerful alternative to EndNote or Refworks. This tutorial will go over the basics of Zotero and demonstrate how you can download, organize, and collect citations (and articles) from PubMed and elsewhere. We will also explore the many features and citation styles that Zotero integrates within Microsoft Word, allowing us to quickly produce well formatted bibliographies for our research papers.
