Carlos A. Estrada, MD, MS, is Chief of the Section of General Internal Medicine (GIM) at the Birmingham VAMC and Professor of Medicine, with tenure, and Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is also Associate Provost for Interprofessional Education and Director, Center for Interprofessional Education & Simulation at UAB.
