Program Description:
Understanding and effectively teaching Systems-Based Practice (SBP) remains a challenge for many clinical educators. This interactive seminar aims to clarify the ACGME competency domain of SBP and provide practical strategies for integrating it into clinical training. Participants will review the core components of SBP, explore opportunities to teach these skills using a sample curriculum, and discuss methods for assessing trainee performance in this often under-emphasized domain. Designed for educators across specialties, this session offers tools to make SBP instruction more intentional, measurable, and meaningful in everyday clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this seminar, participants will be able to:
  1. Review the ACGME competency domain of Systems-Based Practice (SBP).
  2. Explore opportunities for teaching SBP skills using a sample curriculum.
  3. Review methods for ongoing assessment of trainees’ performance in the SBP domain
