The BEI invites you to the 3rd session in the "Thinking about Intelligence" a series on helping and guiding the trainee.
What does it mean to be “smart” in today’s diverse and emotionally complex healthcare settings? This session introduces Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Cultural Intelligence (CQ) as essential forms of intelligence for working effectively with patients, colleagues, and teams. Participants will examine how these intelligences influence empathy, collaboration, leadership, and communication—especially in high-stakes or cross-cultural clinical environments.
Session led by:
Subha Ramani, MBBS, PhD
Assistant Director Global Perspectives & Community, BEI
Associate Professor of Medicine, HMS
Adjunct Professor, MGH IHP
