Erik serves as the executive director of the BEI, and HMS Associate Dean for Medical Education (BWH).  He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University & Northwestern University Medical School, and he completed his Internal Medicine residency (’00) and Endocrinology fellowship (’03) at the Brigham.  Erik’s educational expertise is grounded in time spent at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, complemented by decades of experience serving as BWH PCE Director, HMS Associate Dean, and our BEI Executive Director. He brings to this Vice President role an extensive knowledge of our own institution, but also keen insight into national and international medical education trends and future directions.
